HARVEY BROAD GOES PRO AT COVENTRY CITY

Chatham Town can confirm that full-back Harvey Broad has joined Coventry City on professional terms for an undisclosed fee.

The 18-year old defender came through the clubs youth ranks before naturally progressing into the Chats Academy.

Harvey made his first team debut in January 2022 at the age of 16 against Larkfield & New Hythe before being made Academy captain in his second year at the club. Academy success saw him claim the Tactic League, Champions Cup and Kent Cup.

Loan spells at Larkfield and more recently Lordswood saw Harvey develop in men’s football before being recalled to feature for the Chats last season. He made 17 appearances for Kevin Hake’s Chatham side, helping the club to win the Velocity Cup and finish runners-up in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

As part of the deal, we will take on Coventry City on Tuesday night at the Bauvill stadium, 7:45pm, and Harvey is expected to feature for the Sky Blues.

The club are proud to see another Chats player progress into the EFL and we are wishing Harvey all the best for his future.
