DIGITAL MEDIA VOLUNTEER: CTFC WOMEN

Chatham Town Women are a club that rely upon countless hours of unpaid work to run efficiently.  We’ve got voluntary bar staff, groundsmen, youth coaches, stewards, announcers and so on.  We’re now looking for someone who has that eye for creative flair and understands social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!

This is your chance to join the CTWFC media team as we’re on the hunt for a voluntary content creator to join our team.  The role is perfect for a student looking to make a career in the sports journalism or sports media industry or, someone with creative flair keen to make a mark on the club’s media output.

The role will give you experience of producing creative video content, editing footage to create engaging material, filming in a live sports environment, working as part of a live broadcast team, and producing other content for our media channels.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the job holder to obtain live sport experience, to interact with people throughout all levels of football and to build a portfolio for those looking to advance within sports media.

Background

Chatham Town Women FC is a community-based football club that plays in the Women’s National League Premier Division South, tier 3 of the women’s game – just two leagues below the WSL.

We play our home games at the Bauvill Stadium, the home of Chatham Town FC in Kent and we have strong ambitions to climb further up the footballing pyramid system.

We are now looking at new ideas which will engage more with our fanbase and help drive the club forward.

The role and responsibilities:

The voluntary content creator, must understand football and will be expected to assist in the production and support some of the following:

  • lead the day-to-day planning of our social media output
  • Plan, create and publish content for our social media output
  • Collaborate with in house staff e.g. photographer to create content
  • Grow, engage and maintain our media audience
  • Act as the main point of contact for our media team

The jobholder will be responsible to the Media and Communications Manager.

The ideal candidate(s) would be available to work home matchdays, select away matchdays (when available) and remotely during the week to ensure our socials are kept up to date.
