Sam Sene-Richardson Completes Permanent Move to Brentford FC

We can confirm that Sam Sene-Richardson has made a permanent move to Premier League side Brentford Football Club.

Sam joined the Chats at the age of 16, joining the Chatham Town Academy Scholarship.

From there, Sam made his first team debut on 12 September 2023, helping the Chats to a resounding 5-0 victory away at Folkestone Invicta in the Kent Senior Cup.

In the same season, Sam was integral to helping the Chats lift the Velocity Cup, earning the assist which saw Jamie Yila deliver a last-minute winner against Hashtag United.

Sam integrated fully with Chatham Town’s first team during the 2024/25 season, claiming Young Player of the Season and Supporters Player of the Season.

In our last campaign, he was voted Players’ Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season after an incredible campaign which saw him return 11 goals and 27 assists.

The 19-year old midfielder now makes the jump to Brentford, where he will feature for Brentford B (U23’s), who act as the direct development and transitional squad to the first team.

Everyone at Chatham Town would like to thank Sam for everything he has given the club and wish him every success as he begins this exciting new chapter.
